This ongoing series of photographic works combines carefully arranged still lifes and self stagings of the artist. Beginning in 2018, within the digital era of self presentation, the artist began to transform herself into an almost inhuman sculpture, challenging the norms on how to present oneself on social media. Using random objects she had in her home, like food, jewelry or plastic plants, she soon created a unique aesthetic between glamour and disgust. The works explore our growing alienation from the outside world, on to an artificial world, where everyday objects become bizarre and seem to have lost their original meaning. An absurd fantasy evolves.
